In the afternoon of 24th March, with the support of the International Students' Education Centre (ISEC) of DMU, an academic salon for international students was hosted by the Law School of DMU, for providing useful guidance on a series of academic-related issues such as thesis publication and thesis writing, which are of great concern to international students.

This academic salon is mainly for international students who are enrolled in the English-taught Master's programme at DMU law. Students in the English-taught programme can only use English for their courses, research and communication activities, which places a higher demand on the English-speaking teaching staff, academic communication platforms, research tools and the diverse cultural and learning environment that the university can provide. In order to help international students adapt to life in a foreign country and complete their studies, the DMU Law School regularly organises various activities and meet-up events for international students, which to help them integrate into the University, learn about China, gain professional knowledge and improve their research skills.

The international students' meeting was hosted by Ms. Shihui Yu. Dr. Max Zhang (Canada), shared with the international students his experience in writing and publishing papers in English Indexed journals in the context of his own academic research and publication experience. Dr. Jung-hwan Choi (Republic of Korea), shared his experience in writing dissertations from different perspectives, including topic selection, methodology and comparative research. Ms. Shihui Yu introduced the latest requirements of the DMU and the Law School for writing and defending of dissertations, and answered the students' questions.
