Outstanding Results for Students of DMU-Swansea Program in the 2025 NECCS

2025年全国大学生英语竞赛（NECCS）辽宁赛区比赛日前顺利落幕，我校中外合作办学法学项目学生在比赛中表现突出，展现出良好的语言素养与思维能力。荣获特等奖1人（本赛区最高奖项）、二等奖1人、三等奖6人。

The 2025 National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) recently concluded in Liaoning Province. Students from DMU-Swansea Program achieved remarkable results, showcasing their strong language proficiency and critical thinking abilities. Among them, one student won the Special Prize (the highest award in the regional division), one student received the Second Prize, and six students were awarded the Third Prize.

Among them, YUAN Yatong stood out for her exceptional performance and was awarded the Special Prize in the Liaoning Division. She ultimately secured the top regional honor. During her preparation and competition journey, YUAN Yatong gained valuable experience and insights. 全国大学生英语竞赛（NECCS，全称 National English Competition for College Students）是面向非英语专业学生的英语综合能力竞赛，由全国高等师范院校外语教学与研究协作组主办，已连续举办27届，是目前全国覆盖面最广、参与人数最多的大学生英语赛事之一。比赛内容涵盖听力、阅读、写作、翻译、改错、逻辑思维等多个方面，强调实用能力与综合素质的结合。

The NECCS, organized by the National Association of Foreign Language Teaching and Research in Higher Education Institutions, is one of China’s largest and most influential English competitions for non-English majors. The competition consists of multiple modules including listening, reading, writing, translation, error correction, and logical reasoning. It aims to comprehensively assess university students’ language competence and cognitive flexibility.

本项目高度重视学生英语能力与国际视野的协同培养，积极鼓励学生参与高水平语言类竞赛，在提升语言应用能力的同时，培养其在跨文化语境中的思辨力与表达力。此次获奖不仅是学生个人努力的成果，也是项目在复合型法律人才培养方面持续推进、成效初显的体现。

DMU-Swansea Program places great emphasis on cultivating both legal expertise and international communication skills. By encouraging active participation in high-level academic and language competitions, the program fosters students’ cross-cultural awareness and practical language abilities. These outstanding results not only reflect the students’ dedication but also demonstrate the program’s ongoing success in nurturing well-rounded, globally competitive legal professionals.
